Himalayan Kittens
They say that a dog is man’s best friend, but lately, cats have been getting a whole lot of love. Perhaps it’s because of the fact that cats tend to require better maintenance. Or maybe it’s because of their distinctly independent personalities that are quite different from the wavering devotion of our canine pals. Whatever it may be, the popularity of cats have skyrocketed, and breeding them has now become more important than ever. As long-haired breeds are generally rarer, they are more favored by the true-blues of cat lovers; and to some of these people, Himalayan kittens are nothing short of little miracles.
Himalayan or “Himmy” kittens are also known as colorpoint Persian cats, and are essentially the successful result o f cross-breeding a Persian cat and a Siamese cat. They are extremely beautiful, with their long, pale fur with darker markings at the extremities. Himalayan kittens (even if they are grown up, one can’t help but still think of them as kittens) are very personable and sweet, playfully active and quite intelligent to boot. All these characteristics, from their features to their personalities, make Himalayan kittens ideal show cats, though they’d be just as content as companions.
